Mexico here I come.

The time has come and I was able to say that I am going to pursue a journalism career in my homeland of Mexico.

During the past fall semester I had a full schedule (15 hours) and I have had some great opportunities during the semester like interning at Central High School in the Audio Visual Department. I helped the student produce, edit their weekly show. I also learned that I have to work on time management, thus, the C that I received in Psychology and Math. Lastly, I was not happy with the grades, but at the end of the day, I did end up finishing strong.

This spring had the challenges of a college student’s life. Death of a loved one, getting and maintaining a 4.0 GPA, and last but not least, deciding to return to Mexico to revisit my birthplace.

I plan to enroll at the Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Morelo. This will immerse me back into the society where I eventually will live and graduate from a Mexican University which will enable me to further my future long term career goal which it to be active in Mexican Politics. I will use journalism for my research while relearning to adapt and learn the country, people and the problems.

I am so very fortunate to have the support of my friends, peers, and family. In closing, I want to thank my friends and family for helping me with one of the best years of my life. As I travel through Mexico this summer, I will keep them updated on my progress.
